YOGA (Vinyasa Style)

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise which aims to
unite body, mind & spirit. At Peak Potential we offer
the very popular Vinyassa style of Yoga which is a
flowing dynamic style of Yoga.

Vinyasa is a word that means “breath-synchronised movement” or “flow”.  Essentially, the class flows from one pose to the next while incorporating specific breathing patterns. The purpose of Vinyasa yoga is to increase heat in the body, which in turns leads to purification through increased circulation and sweating. It also improves flexibility as well as the strength of tendons and hard tissues, allowing the student to practice advanced poses or asanas without the risk of injury.

Vinyasa yoga can be a faster-paced yoga class than many other styles and you will leave knowing you have had a good workout.  It is great for all levels of yoga student and each class has the flexibility for you to move at your own pace and push yourslef as hard or as easy as you feel comofrtable with.

By working through a range of postures and dynamic movements Yoga can help with your flexibility, body awareness,movement, balance and strength. Classes will generally finish with an instructor led meditation to enable you to leave feeling more centred and focused for the week ahead.
