Your First Visit

Your first visit with us is designed to get an overall picture of your current health status in order to be safe and thorough with you.  When you arrive on your first visit, you will be greeted by one of our friendly assistants who will ask you to complete some information on your health history and current lifestyle.

Your Health StatusOnce you have completed your questionnaire, the Chiropractor will be ready to see you for your consultation.

At Peak Potential, we pride ourselves on running on time, so expect to be seen at your scheduled appointment time.

The Chiropractor will then complete a thorough health history with you, asking questions about any specific complaint you may have, as well as questions about your overall current health status. Following your history, the Chiropractor will complete an examination of your spine and nervous system. The chiropractor will check your posture, examine the way that your spine moves, perform any orthopaedic and neurological testing that is required, and feel you spine, and surrounding muscles for the presence of imbalance or subluxation.

At the conclusion of your examination the chiropractor may wish to have some x-rays taken of your spine. Rest assured that we will take only the required views, and if you have had x-rays taken recently you may not need to have any taken at all.. The chiropractor will take your x-rays on site.

After your consultation, the chiropractor will take their time carefully reviewing your x-rays and comparing them with the results from the examinations performed today.

These results will be presented to you on your next visit.

Dr Matt Asks some important questions of interest to Mentone and Bayside residents - Chiropractor Mentone and Bayside Dr Matt Asks...

How do you know when you're healthy?
Ask most Mentone and Bayside residents this simple question and you're likely to hear, "When you feel good" or "When you're at your proper weight for your height" or "When you have lots of energy and vitality." Great answers. But our chiropractic patients know that true health is when your body is working as it was designed. True health is how you function, not how you feel.
Which organs are extra?
You don't have any spare parts. Sure, we can survive without our tonsils, appendix, gall bladder and several other tissues, but each serves a purpose. We chiropractors recognise this. So the chiropractic approach I use in Mentone and Bayside is to reduce nerve interferences to the control and regulation of every tissue, organ and system of your body.
