Your Second Visit

At your 2nd Visit we will explain the results of your previous examinations and let you know if we can accept your case.

On your second visit, your chiropractor will review the results of your examinations and any x-rays that may have been taken with you. Your chiropractor will carefully explain the features that we expect to see in a spinal x-ray, if taken, such that you can understand the significance of your own x-ray findings.

Your Chiropractor will then explain to you all of your options for care.  The report of findings is designed to provide you with all of the information required for you to make an informed decision about your health, and the type of care that you would like to receive.

Following your report of findings, if your chiropractor has concluded that yours is a chiropractic case, they will invite you to receive your first chiropractic adjustment in our office. Your chiropractor will monitor your response from this adjustment.  This, along with the latest scientific evidence, will help to determine your expected results from care, as well as the frequency and duration of care that you are likely to require.

Following your first adjustment, you will be given instructions on what you should do following your adjustments in order to get the best results from today.

On your next visit your chiropractor will formulate their best recommendations for care in your case, taking into account the goals that you have expressed for your health.

Dr Matt Asks some important questions of interest to Mentone and Bayside residents - Chiropractor Mentone and Bayside Dr Matt Asks...

Can chiropractic cure a child's ear infections?
Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything. Nor is it a treatment for ear infections. However, many children who suffer with ear infections also suffer from spinal problems in their neck, compromising nerves to the ear, depressing the immune system and preventing proper drainage. Can chiropractic help? Find out!
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Mentone and Bayside parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
